In order to check your student permit validity online, you must login to the LTO/LTMS Portal. Make sure that you have your Registered Email or LTO Client Number and Password handy before you proceed to sign in to LTO Portal to view your student license.
You can use your mobile phone or a computer with internet connection to access the LTO website portal.
- Go to official LTO/LTMS Portal at portal.lto.gov.ph.
- Click on Login option.

If your student permit is about to expire soon then you have two choices based on your current situation, let me explain it.
If you have completed Practical Driving Course (PDC) and ready to get the Non-Professional Driver’s License,
You should apply for NPDL (Non-Professional Driver’s License) via LTO Portal and go through the written exam, practical driving test, medical examination and other steps to complete the process and obtain your New Driver’s License from the LTO.
If you have NOT completed Practical Driving Course (PDC) and/or you are NOT ready to get the Non-Professional Driver’s License,
You should apply for Student Permit Renewal via LTO Portal and go through the medical examination and submit the renewal application with required documents to get your student permit renewed for another one year.
In this way, you can check your student permit validity online and in-person and thereafter you can apply for student permit renewal or apply for the new driver’s license (NPDL) as per your situation and convenience.
